About the company:

Shovel and Spoon is a farm and kitchen based in Limington, ME. The owners, Courtney Jean and Tomer Kilchevsky, bring their passion for responsible farming and good food to their produce, catering services, and value added products, such as their Middle East Coast Hummus and Tahini. Shovel and Spoon’s love for food and the land is what binds these enterprises together. Attention to detail and accurate flavors is at the heart of the operation, with commitment to producing high quality, delicious, and healthy food for their local community and beyond.

From the Middle East to Middle East Coast:

Tomer grew up in Israel and Courtney lived there for two years, immersing herself in the language, culture, and food. It’s no wonder they started their own line of Middle Eastern spreads. Middle East Coast Hummus and Tahini Dip are sold in over 20 natural food stores in Maine, with plans to expand distribution to NH and MA in 2021.
